Alright guys, I know you be coming for heads… but really hear me out.
I started amazon at the end of October. And really hustled through the holiday. To be truthfully honest, I really love this gig. I was making really good money. But now that the holidays are over shifts are super limited.
I have a fantastic rating, a bunch of compliments, and never had an issue during peak season.
Now that it’s not the holidays why are they only giving out base pay for way more packages.
For example, I usually get two $100+ shifts a week. That stopped in the last week so I picked up some base pay 5 hour shifts. Usually I’ll get done like an hour or two sooner than Amazon expects so I make more per hour than what they determined…. Why this five hour shift I had 50+ packages 😒
During peak season a five hour shift got me 40ish packages….. I was making over $100 for those shifts.
Now this week I refused to take any thing base pay… minding you I only am able to get reserved offers. I can’t even get regular offers to appear. This weeks pay is honestly trash. I like this gig but they not giving the hours now and I see they need drivers at the stations…
More and more people are returning packages when they are loading because they are expecting us to fit huge boxes in hatchbacks and sedans with 40+ packages. Why not just split that order up for two drivers.??? Like come on.!! 🤨
Then I’m starting to have negative marks on my account. Talking bout I didn’t deliver a package. Like yes I did to the address given and provided a photo. Amazon sends us out early or late when we not supposed to knock or call customers. That’s Amazon fault or the customer fault.
Then another thing is amazon allows me to pick up a five hour shift. Give me 40 packages and then priory make it that I need to be finished in three hours with a 45 min drive to the first drop off location.
Wow just wow. They really cutting corners at amazon 😭 I need this bread though
