I remember reading something about Amazon introducing reserved blocks, but I’ve never been a prolific Flex driver and never saw myself getting to that point in their little game system that I would be offered such. I’ve said it before that my own personal minimum is a block must be $40 an hour or better. I am the sort who on average over all the time I’ve done Flex drives probably only once every week or two. So I never figured I’d reach the point that I’d get these reserved blocks to check them out. Today I’m going through my emails as I do and as usual there’s stuff from Flex telling me to go check the app because new blocks or something. Nearly 95% of the time I see these emails I will open the flex app and it’s all base so I close it just as quickly. The other 5% of the time I will see a surge in my range and grab it. Anyways today I got that email and fired up the app and I see an offer days out still “just for you.” I look and it’s just more base bullshit. I’ve never been interested in base before. Why would I be now just because you earmark me for a block? Silly Amazon and silly Flexors that take base seem to be the norm regardless of how many times things are said in this sub… all I can advise is don’t do it. submitted by /u/CrispyWalrus |
