LET ME START by saying I secured a $250 4 1/2 hr block today.
I left very early, but on the way the snowfall became severe. After sliding along the highway multiple times, I made it in time for my block by about 10 minutes.
Upon clicking “I have arrived”, instead of asking for ID selfie and for me to scan my ID, the app would automatically switch to “scan items for your route” despite having no route assigned.
My station automatically assigns routes once you’ve checked in.
Station manager could not manually assign anything to me, as on their end I had not checked In yet. We troubleshooted by restarting the app and trying a few different things, and after a while the screen updated to say I missed my scheduled start time.
At this point it had to go to support. I spent an hour waiting on hold several times only to keep getting disconnected while speaking to someone. Only to finally find out that I would have to wait for an email from the flex support team (they are like a bad AI chat robot.if you know you know.)
So, harrowing drive through snowstorm, only to get jerked around for an hour and find out I likely will not receive payment for this in any way. Not only that, but because I “missed” my block time, I cannot pick up a block for the rest of its duration. So here I am out in the winter storm and unable to pick up and of the great surge rates that are happening.
