Been doing Flex since the end of Nov 2022, and I am about to throw in the towel if what happened to me at pickup happens again.
I picked up from Kearny, NJ today (DJZ4)..not only did most of us leave about 30 minutes late because the guy who scanned the IDs was probably new..very slow. Then certain totes were given to “certain people”.
Then I get 10 packages for Denville and Mountain Lakes. The very block that I do not like. Stops are 14-22 minutes apart.
Why hype up the rewards program to unlock levels? This makes no sense. I stay away from Denville and Mountain Lakes for several safety reasons. How are we supposed to trust that when we go to a station or “favorite blocks” that you wont have to deliver in the very areas of blocks which you dont like?
Does a Flex driver have to get hurt first, in order for these stations and their assignments of packages to rectify this?
It is disappointing because I like the gig, nice hustle. But I cant with the unorganized nonsense. Especially when it comes to safety.
Pay Flex Drivers better, or lose the quality drivers who work hard to deliver packages.
I swear to God, if this ever happens again, I am telling them that I am not delivering there and will take my a$$ home. But I had already drove 30 minutes to the station, so I bit the bullet tonight and held my tongue.
There should be advanced notification to let us know if we are going to end up in upstate NY, Brooklyn, or areas that you dont feel safe delivering at.
Tonight is the last effing night that I am getting screwed over with Amazon Flex. That is a promise to myself.
