Y’all I am literally so frustrated. I’ve been working here a month now, and while I’m definitely faster than when I first started, I am still way under 20 stops an hour and I can’t figure out what’s slowing me down.
-When I start a new tote, I separate everything by street, and when I’m on a new street, I move all of those packages to the front on the floor, keeping boxes and envelopes separate and having the next package in the passenger seat so I can just grab it and go
-I organize my overflow by stop order, having the first package closest to me and last one in the back
-I scan while I’m walking and have the camera ready before I get to the porch
-When I have the energy to run, I run and when I don’t have the energy to run I briskly walk
-When a customer’s preferred delivery dropoff spot is outside of the delivery location, I turn off the internet connection and manually adjust the geofence myself instead of calling driver support
-I don’t take any of my breaks
One thing I know that probably slows me down is driveways. I’m not the best at reversing so I don’t back into them, and backing out of them safely can take forever. Most of the time I just pull up in them a little or sideways park at the end of the driveway and run, but that takes forever as well. And a lot of times customers have these long dirt driveways that take forever to get out of.
Anyone have any advice?
