Amazon flex took 3 months to process my background check and they dug up my past misdemeanors and are now asking me to explain what happened and what changes I’ve made since it happened including jobs and people that can vouch on my behalf to show I’ve progressed in the right direction and why they(Amazon flex) should hire me. It’s kinda strange to be honest I feel like it’s too much for the job profile. Like that’s something I would expect a government job would ask not Amazon flex. I have until the 30th of this month to submit a reply. Anybody ever had this happen to them. I feel like Im wasting my time TBH because the one misdemeanor they want me to explain that’s about 4 1/2 years ago now is borderline serious. When I explain it the title alone would deter most people but it was a misdemeanor and no it’s not for anything sexual,I’m not a sex offender its for brandishing a replica firearm in a threatening manner. Which the threatening manner part is news to me because I’ve always heard it as just brandishing a replica firearm. I dunno I feel like I’m gonna get denied anyway so what do y’all think should I explain myself or just pass. I don’t mind either way but if I’m gonna get denied why waste my time ya know. Thoughts? Anybody?
