I’m currently working for a DSP in London (UK), I understand a lot of people on this subreddit are American and I rarely see any UK posts in here.
In the UK we do not get any holiday pay, sick pay or pension. Since peak we have been delivering the same if not more parcels for pre-peak pay! Im in a comfortable position where I don’t need to work, so for me a strike would be easy. I understand people can’t afford to be out of work, but for the pay we get striking would only benefit you in the long run.
I believe we should get the benefits of being employed as for the pay we get and shit we have to deal with is not worth it. Obviously DSP owners will disagree because they would lose their jobs if we were employed. Either way we definitely need a pay rise and some consistency of routes. Start putting a cap on the parcel count and stop count. DSP owners should be working with us to make our job more enjoyable and beneficial rather than constantly giving us false promises and fighting with us.
Is there anyone else here willing to strike UK or National??
