Trying to help my community, I’ve been wanting to try one of these blocks. So I accepted one today for 11a-1p.
Arrived at the place 10 min early, all I had to do when I got there was say I parked. It took almost 40 min to get my route and when I did, it had me driving 20 minutes to pick up 10 packages. I knew there was no way id be able to do 10 deliveries in under an hour in downtown traffic, but I figured id take that up with the person I’m supposed to be picking up the items to be delivered………..except when I made it to that location, it was nothing having to do with Amazon. The pickup’s address was the place I assembled initially, but the point I was being sent to on the map I have no clue what it was. It wasn’t any of the places I was supposed to be dropping off food to.
Support said to throw in the towel and they’ll figure it out. I forgot to ask if I was still getting paid or not.
So now I’ve got the next hour free. I don’t know if I was supposed to leave the assembly place with the items to be delivered or if Stop 1 was supposed to be a pickup spot but it’s horribly inefficient to go somewhere and sit, just to go elsewhere to start a route.
They need to get this straight and fixed because it’s for the people that need the help the most. So I’m going to report this to Amazon, hopefully they get it fixed for the sake of the people we’re supposed to be doing this for.
