Because my knee is bothering me, my dispatcher put me on a pre-rescue, then a recycle route. My dispatch team is awesome btw

I take 30 stops off another driver, deliver them, then head back to the warehouse for the 11am recycle route.

I check in with dispatch, and they tell me to chill on the pad. About 15 vans from different DSP’s are there. No activity in the warehouse.

About an hour later, dispatch calls to tell me that they haven’t forgotten about me, but Amazon doesn’t have our packages ready yet.

At 1:15, my dispatcher brings my tote (yes, tote, as in a single tote) to me. I leave the pad at 1:30, to drive an hour plus, on a 6 stop route, then drive an hour back.

I could have been done by 2pm, but because my warehouse doesn’t have their shit together, I finished a mere 12 minutes early.
