Apartment complex.
Customer said to deliver to receptionist or the the mailroom specifically, I retained a copy of the message. I went inside and said “I have a delivery for an apartment, are you receptionist? I was told to deliver to the receptionist”
Her reply “No, I am a manager here but I am not going to take it.”
I asked where the mailroom was and she said around the corner where the lockers were. I take it over there and I am assuming the lockers were mail and packages. So I can not stick it in the locker due to it having address numbers on them and she confirmed it was the mailroom. So I took a picture of the box propped up against the lockers.
She throws a tantrum saying that I can not leave it there that I have to put it in the locker. I tell her explaining why I can not. She still insists getting really rude with me. I say I can not legally put it in there. So she insists I take it to the customer who said to put it there. I reply I can not because that is where I took the picture, I marked it as delivered in mailroom. I could be accused of taking it if something happens. I could no longer call the customer since it was marked delivered and it was outside the customer hours of being there.
She replies
“I will do your job for you today, but do not deliver here again.” She then starts saying some BS stuff and I ignore her walking out and leave. I kept my cool, remained polite and courteous.
I have two questions:
What else could I have done?
If I get this address again what should I do?
Will Amazon do anything about it if I am reported?
