Why Does Amazon Flex Give You A Bunch Of Packages That Are Past The Delivery Time Frame?

I know everyone has probably experienced this plenty of times but I always get packages that are out of the delivery window of when the customer wants the package. I usually start my shift around 5pm and the packages need to be their tween 9am-5pm give or take. Ik they want us to try to deliver them but it’s idiotic and time wasting. Why can’t they just hold on to the package and give it to the day time drivers? I sometimes deliver them when it’s a business that closes at 5 but don’t like too. Half of my shift tonight had cutoffs at 5pm and I started at 5:30pm! It wild to me but whatever. What does everyone else do?
