Yesterday I was on track to finish around 4:30, which is usually what I aim for. After my route I had to rescue someone who was behind because they went to McDonald’s to meet their dad during break. However, they drove to the completely wrong McDonald’s, so now I had to spend another hour and a half finishing their route. I understand that rescues are somewhat necessary, but if the person is wasting their time that doesn’t mean I should either. It’s not the first time this has happened to me either. Another time I had to rescue someone because they cluelessly drove across the state and didn’t realize until they ran out of gas. If Amazon designated a few people each day who strictly did rescues it would be so much better. They’d be sent to those who are behind, but they wouldn’t have to worry about doing a complete route. That was everyone could finish at a reasonable time and not have to deal with bs. Good drivers would be rewarded for going at a decent pace and not have make up for others people’s stupidity. The slower drivers would get the help they need and rescuing would be less resentful in my opinion. I’m just rambling, but surely there’s a better way to go about this.
