Accused Of Hitting A Brick Light Structure

I’ve been driving for 5 months and yesterday I got reported for hitting someones brick light structure at the end of the driveway. The back step made contact with something(the thing was leaned over and looks like maybe the base was out of range of the backup camera)but there was absolutely no damage, not even a scratch on the van, the structure was leaned against a pole, and I swear I remember seeing it leaned over when I arrived there. I explained this to dispatch and they told me to do a report anyway. The homeowner said it get hits all the time. My DSP doesn’t seem to care about the incident but should I be concerned at all? Is this going to pop up on my driving record? Should I try and push I think it was already damaged or just let it go? Appreciate any info from anyone that has been through this before
