Older Driver Load Out Tips Needed

Hey! So I have been driving for 2 months. I am older (40’s) than most drivers at my DSP. I drive 1x or 2x a week temp. to make extra $ until I find a better job in my wheelhouse.

They were giving me Nursery 2 routes in a UHAUL and then a branded van.

Yesterday, I was given a “standard route.” Mostly suburb, some rural and a handful of apts. It’s a route that Ive had before. But instead of 11 totes, 144 stops, 17 OF…This one was 191 stops, 287 packages.

I took no breaks, except the Gatorade bottle…I hustled…Im pretty organized…packages in order on passenger seat on top of a tote…boxes behind driver seat pero driver aid number. When I RTS from a 10:05 load out (I arrived at my route close to 11AM) and a 20 min drive…I returned at 8:20 pm. I was the last driver.

What am I doing wrong? How can I be more efficient? I asked Disptach when I was returing my Rabbit App and keys…and the dude said “I dont know how you work but you’re good to go”…and that was that.

Also, if they add more work load, why dont they give us a raise?
