So apparently customers don’t even have to provide the correct address. It’s now our job.

I had a 100% apartment route today. The worst kind: newish so-called “luxury” apartments.

This was also my first time having this route and it’s also a completely new area for me.

Anyways, the route is going ok until flex takes me to the leasing office. This pkg is addressed for the leasing office. Each building has its own street address. The geo-pin is obviously at the office. It had an apt number but it also looks off because there is no building number. Only 4 numbers when the others have 6….

I took it inside the office and this woman jumps up as soon as she sees me walk in.

I tell her it’s addressed incorrectly and she snaps back “I CAN GIVE YOU THE CORRECT ADDRESS” I told her “Yeah we could do that but then they would never update their address” and pretty much walk out.

She did NOT like that.

She follows me to my van trying to get me to take the pkg and tells me I’m being very disrespectful. ??

I wanted to tell her “ma’am I’m severely underpaid and no other courier does half the shit they force us to do, so no, i will deliver it to the address provided.”

How fkn hard is it for her to call or email that tenant and let them know their address is wrong? I’m not going to keep the cycle going by hunting down the address for them. She’s probably just upset she can’t make maintenance deliver it.

These leasing agents are incredibly lazy and I’ve almost always ran into this issue at “luxury” apartments.

I have to draw the line somewhere for me and others who have this route. The route is shit enough.
