Background: My grandfather who I’m extremely close to has been rapidly declining over the last few weeks, and finally passed away earlier today. When I informed my DSP that he passed, rather than demanding I still come in this week, my DSP owner flat out told me to let him know if I need a distraction and wanted to come in, but it’s completely optional. I know this is one of those, “bro that’s just basic compassion” situations, but goddamn I’m grateful for what I’ve got right now because I can focus all my energy on supporting my family, rather than fearing I could lose my job.

Moral of the story: Take this as not only a sign that good DSP’s really do exist out there, but also to hold your loved ones a little closer tonight cuz shit I miss him so fucking much already. Love ya, Papa ????????❤️
