Considering Amazon is going through alot right now and them being in a bad financial situation while also switching to an all electric fleet, it got me thinking, what if Amazon sold their old vans for a discount? I know these vans have been seriously beat up by wear and tear and all sorts of dirty drivers throwing garbage all over them but I think they still got some life left in them. Personally though I would not pay any more than 15,000 and depending on the condition, I would not go beyond 10,000-12,000. I definitely would need to do some body work, have the whole van cleaned and perform some overdo inspection and maintenance and that is not going to be cheap for vans of this condition. Personally I would seriously consider buying them as I am familiar with the Ram Promaster and it might be useful for other jobs that I am considering. If I use it for personal use, it can double as an adventure van and I can bring a bed and sleep in it if I decide to visit other cities or I can even convert it for vanlife. The only problem with it is the fact that it’s so long and parking will always be a problem not to mention that the issue of these vans being abused so badly would need some serious expenses going down the line and their useful life is almost halfway done. I also managed to find some companies that do vanlife conversions but they are pricey, vanlifecustoms for example charges 74,000 for one of their conversions which actually one of the cheaper options.
