may seem like an off-topic question, but there’s a general trend in the militant labour movement towards Leftist politics, such as Mister Smalls, the man who helped organize the Amazon Workers out of Staten Island, being an openly Socialist personality. reading articles about that particular Union’s foundation, you can see authors take note of the radical presence of Anarchists and Marxists in the Union’s ranks.
it’s a trend not relegated solely to Amazon. with inflation ramping up and wages staying stagnant, many Workers and Unions are turning to radical solutions.
with all that said, i’ve seen post here (and made some myself) that use anti-capitalist slogans and buzzwords to condemn Amazon’s foul business practices. i remember telling a friend of mine shortly after i started working here that ”i thought the coffee houses i worked was filled with radical Workers, but Amazon attracts nothing but Reds”
i want to see if i’m right.
