I’ve been delivering for about 3 weeks now. Was on my way to my first stop of a block today, on a two lane highway in the right lane.. Old man merges on from the left and decides to merge across both lanes right in to my car! He doesn’t stop, so I have to risk my car being driveable and chase him down for the plate. He finally stops and first thing he says when he gets out?: “Did you see what I hit?”. ME, motherfucker!

So yeah, I called Amazon and they filed an emergency report and said my standing wouldn’t be affected. They said I could return to the station or finish my deliveries. I actually went and delivered till the end of my block time. Called support again and they told me to mark every remaining package as undeliverable due to being too late. Going to take them back to the station in the morning.

What a fucking trip. Anyone ever had experiences getting in to an accident before while doing Flex? How did it go for you? This accident was definitely not my fault. I got him on video saying sorry like 20 times. I’m hoping his insurance doesn’t give me a hard time. And I’m buying a dashcam tonight. But yeah, I can’t say I’m not worried about my standing despite what support told me.
