I worked as a DA for a DSP ( about 6 months before I found a better gig ) and sure its a cool job if you need some cash to keep you afloat. Also most ppl while working this job will be working on getting something better while they are there. With that being said, If you are one of these people that continually feel the dread of going into this job and its really taking a toll on your body… go get a Security D license. You will be paid most likely the same or a dollar less, with a guaranteed 40 hours and A LOT OF CHANCE OF OVERTIME.FOR DOING NOTHING & not really having to deal with coworkers. Now I do understand some ppl like this job because you dont gotta deal w coworkers (rarely), keeps you in shape due to all the steps and the heat or what not & you get to see places in your city that you didnt know about. But man… this company ABSOLUTELY does not care for its DA’s. Adding group stops was the biggest fuck you they couldve said to us ( I had quit about 2 months after they introduced group stops) I just wanted to post this for the ppl that want to quit but can’t due to certain responsibilities. This doesnt have to be your money maker, but I get it if its the fastest job that hires you. But please hear my advice if you want a more swell job that provides you opportunities to advance in the company ( depending on the company, some can be shite) get a D Security license. With that being said, thank you guys for your work. This shit is NOT EASY.
